The last appointment is over. New messages are popping up on your smartphone, the dishes are waiting in the kitchen, and your mind is already starting on the next day. Actually, it's time to clock off. But the transition is missing.
Perhaps you don't need another New Year's resolution today. Perhaps all you need is a moment where you decide for yourself what happens next.
Serenity doesn't have to be a permanent state. You are allowed to have a busy day, feel annoyed, and still take a break in between. The following ideas are invitations to experiment, not a program you have to fulfill.
1. Give your time off a visible beginning
Close your laptop. Clear your work documents out of sight. Write down the first step for tomorrow on a piece of paper.
This doesn't mean every task is done. But you have decided where to pick up tomorrow. Choose a simple action that marks the end of the workday for you, even if you work from home.
2. Let a break be truly free
Not every spare minute needs a podcast, a message, or new information. Try spending five minutes without any additional content.
Sit by the window, go out on the balcony for a moment, or consciously look at your surroundings during your next walk. What do you notice when you don't want to document or respond to anything right now?
You decide for yourself whether you enjoy this break. It doesn't have to be particularly productive or particularly quiet.
3. Make yourself comfortable during the darker months
A warm light, a comfortable seat, and a blanket can be part of your personal leisure time. You don't need a perfect home or a new shopping list for this.
Use what is already there. For example, place a book in your favorite spot instead of letting it disappear from view on the shelf. Or keep your shoes and jacket ready for a quick walk outside. Design your environment so that your desired break is easily accessible.
4. Decide what can wait for today
Write down three open tasks. Mark one that really must be done today. Check the others to see if they can wait until tomorrow.
A helpful question is: Do I have a real deadline – or just the feeling that I need to react immediately?
If other people are involved, communicate your decision clearly: "I will get back to you tomorrow morning." This turns an open thought into a concrete agreement.
5. Choose a ritual that fits even on busy days
An elaborate evening program rarely fits every daily routine. A small habit is easier to accommodate: reading one page, listening to music consciously, or setting the table for breakfast.
Choose one thing that you personally enjoy. If it feels like another chore, you are allowed to change it or leave it out.
What does a percentage tell you and what does it not?
Product knowledge:

10% or 20% – what is the difference between the variants?
BergBlüten URSPRUNG combines hemp nut oil as a carrier oil with a full-spectrum hemp extract. Both variants contain 10 ml. The difference lies in the declared concentration.
With the same reference size, 20% represents double the concentration compared to 10%. The bottle therefore does not contain more oil. Rather, the ingredient to which the percentage on the label refers is contained in a higher proportion.
What do the numbers on the bottle mean?
The information complements each other:
- 10 ml indicates the total contents of the bottle.
- 10% or 20% describes the declared concentration.
- 1,000 mg or 2,000 mg states the corresponding quantity of the ingredient per bottle.
This makes it easier to compare two bottles of the same size: the 20% variant contains double the declared quantity of the ingredient compared to the 10% variant.
Does a higher concentration mean higher quality?
Concentration alone is not a quality feature. For this, for example, the raw materials, production, and verifiable laboratory analyses are relevant.
A more intense scent also cannot be inferred from the higher percentage. The typical hemp scent is primarily characterized by aromatic substances such as terpenes. Therefore, a higher concentration does not automatically mean a stronger scent experience.
What does full-spectrum mean?
"Full-spectrum" describes an extract with various components of the hemp plant. This can include cannabinoids and natural aromatic substances. The term describes the variety of the plant components contained; the percentage, on the other hand, describes a specific concentration.
Please note the usage and safety instructions on the original label.
Your moment for today
Which of the five ideas would you like to try today? Choose exactly one and decide when there is space for it.
Perhaps your break begins with closing your laptop. Perhaps with a walk around the block. It can be small and fit your actual daily routine.
Your next step: Plan a break today that belongs to you.
